About RockAuto
RockAuto is a family-run online auto parts store known for wholesale-level prices and one of the largest catalogs on the web, covering parts from hundreds of manufacturers for almost every car and truck. Its fast, no-frills catalog makes it a favorite of DIY mechanics and repair shops alike.
Latest RockAuto Promotions, Discounts & Savings
RockAuto keeps prices low every day, but there are still several ways to save even more. Here are the main promotions available right now:
5% Off with Discount Codes
RockAuto regularly releases 5% off discount codes, mainly through its email newsletter and partner promotions. Enter the code in the "How did you hear about us" box during checkout to apply the savings to your parts subtotal.
Manufacturer Rebates
The Promotions and Rebates page lists cash-back offers from parts manufacturers. Past rebates have included around $20 back on engine oil, $30 back on brake kits and up to $75 back on shocks, struts and assemblies. Rebates change frequently, so check before you order.
Closeout Deals
RockAuto's closeout parts offer additional markdowns on overstock items. You will often find small components such as radiator caps, drain petcocks, pulleys and mounts for just a few dollars.
Wholesaler Closeout Section
Look for parts marked "Wholesaler Closeout" in the catalog. These are discounted items that can save you a significant amount on common replacement parts.
RockAuto Special Discounts: Military, Students & More
Military Discount
RockAuto does not currently offer a dedicated military discount. However, its consistently low prices are often lower than discounted prices at local parts stores.
Student Discount
There is no student discount at RockAuto. Students working on their own cars can save by combining newsletter codes with closeout parts.
Senior, Teacher & First Responder Discounts
RockAuto does not list discounts for these groups. The best strategy is to use 5% codes, manufacturer rebates and closeout pricing together.
More Ways to Save at RockAuto
Choose the Closest Warehouse
RockAuto ships from multiple warehouses. Shipping is calculated per warehouse, so choosing parts that ship from the same location can lower your total shipping cost. The catalog shows a truck icon for parts that ship together.
Compare Economy and Premium Brands
Each part is usually available in several price tiers, from economy to OEM-quality and premium. Comparing options helps you balance cost and durability for your vehicle.
Pay Later with PayPal
PayPal Pay in 4 lets you split your purchase into four interest-free payments every two weeks, with instant approval for eligible customers.
Easy Returns
Most parts can be returned for a refund, even when paid with PayPal or a discount code. Start a return on the Order Status and Returns page using your email or phone number and order number to print instructions and labels.
Gift Cards
RockAuto gift cards are available in amounts from $1 to $100, making them a practical gift for car enthusiasts.
Smart Shopping Tips
Create an account for faster checkout, join the newsletter for codes, double-check part numbers against your vehicle and order everything for a repair at once to consolidate shipping.
How to Use a RockAuto Discount Code
RockAuto's checkout works a little differently from most stores. Add your parts to the cart and proceed to checkout. Near the bottom of the order page you will find a box asking how you heard about RockAuto. Paste your discount code there and the savings will apply to eligible parts. Codes are usually worth around 5% and apply to the parts subtotal rather than shipping or core charges. Double-check that the discount appears before submitting your order.
Why Shop at RockAuto?
RockAuto is famous among DIY mechanics for its massive catalog and low prices, often well below local auto parts stores. You can browse parts by vehicle and category, compare several brands and price levels side by side, and see which warehouse each part ships from. Detailed part information, photos and specifications make it easier to choose the right part for your repair.
Popular Parts at RockAuto
Shoppers commonly buy brake pads and rotors, filters, spark plugs, suspension components, cooling system parts, sensors and engine parts. Classic car owners also appreciate RockAuto's coverage of older vehicles that can be hard to find elsewhere.
Tips for Lower Shipping Costs
Because shipping is charged per warehouse, try to choose parts that ship from the same location, and order everything you need for a project at once. This simple step can significantly reduce your total cost.
